Cryptocurrency travel to the fifth largest city in Austria - Innsbruck
The magnificent Old Town Innsbruck surrounded by
picturesque mountains. Here rich history, ancient traditions and the spirit of
modernity coexist comfortably. Innsbruck
is an ancient city founded in the 13th century. For many years it was the capital
of Tyrol and one of the most important centers of European politics and culture. Crowned people lived and made
history here.
Innsbruck is the fifth largest city in Austria, the
capital of Tyrol. Located in the south-west of the country in a surprisingly
picturesque area in the heart of the Alps at the intersection of routes between
Germany and Italy. Innsbruck is the largest ski resort in the Alps, which twice
hosted the Winter Olympics and many other significant sporting events. Also
noteworthy is its medieval old town, surrounded by a ring of mountains, with
narrow winding streets and houses in the late Gothic style. In addition,
Innsbruck was for some time the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. Innsbruck is
located almost in the center of the Eastern Alps in the Inn Valley.
Another impressive building built under
Emperor Maximian I is the Imperial Palace in Innsbruck. It has the same name as
the palace in Vienna - Hofburg (Hofburg). Over the years, the Innsbruck Hofburg was the favorite
residence of the Tyrolean rulers and was rebuilt more than once, following the
fashion trends of a particular era. Today you can look at the imperial apartments
and ceremonial halls in all their splendor,
look into the chapel and admire the coat of arms. And, of course, take a stroll through the charming Hofgarten
Park, located opposite the palace.
A bewitching view of the city rooftops,
narrow, pretty streets, the nearby mountains and the Inn River opens from the
observation deck of the City Tower. She, like many other buildings of the Old
Town, is an old-timer of Innsbruck. In the Middle Ages, the tower served as a watchpoint
from which guards warned citizens about a fire or other dangers.
On the outskirts of Innsbruck is the
delightful castle of Ambras (Schloss Ambras) - the former residence of Archduke Ferdinand II. Being
an admirer of art and science, the Archduke collected paintings, weapons and
various outlandish gizmos of those times throughout his life. Some of his
collections have been preserved and presented in the castle museum. Palace
concerts, early music festivals and Renaissance festivals are also held here.
